JAMES LESLIE EDWARD CLIMPSON


Jim passed away peacefully with his wife, daughter, and extended family by his side. Jim leaves
behind his loving wife of 21 years, Ina Elliott Climpson. He was a devoted Dad and Grandpa to
daughter Dr. Gayle Climpson Kennedy (David) and their children Michael (Sumalee) and Kristen;
and son Paul Climpson (Cathy) and their children Cara (Aaron Lee), Calvin, Caylan and Clayton.
Survived by his sisters Mary (Bernard Kay), Betty (john Cincurak) and Diane Curtis and their families.
Fondly remembered by step-son Jason Fellowes (Sheila) and with memories of great adventures
will be missed by Elliott in-laws Paul and Kelly and their sons, Jimmy and John.
Predeceased by parents George and Loretta Climpson. Founder and President of Valley
Metal Finishing in Concord, Ontario, Jim was born in Newmarket and worked for many years at Alcan
before founding Valley Metal. Jim will be remembered by all his colleagues, friends and family as an
avid outdoorsman with a long-time passion for the land and lakes surrounding Bancroft, Ontario.
ARRANGEMENTS ENTRUSTED TO BARAGAR FUNERAL HOME
Cremation has taken place and a private memorial will be held at a later date. Those wishing to
honour Jim’s memory can make a donation to Hastings Centennial Manor in Bancroft or a
charity of their choice.
