Obituary

Gwen Schock, loving mother of Linda & Henry Reimer of Manitoba, Gerry & Betty Goodkey of L'Amable, Judy Potter of Bancroft and Nancy Nieman of Bancroft, lovingly remembered by her 10 grandchildren and their families, dear sister of Ralph McGibbon of Barrie, Sandy & Earla McGibbons of L'Amable and the late Bob. Gwen was the former wife of the late Fleming Goodkey. Gwen was employed as a nurse's assistant for 24 years, as a hairdresser for 30 years prior and also owned and operated her own fabric business for almost 30 years from her home. She will be remembered for her jovial nature and her amazing talent as a seamstress and quilter.

Thoughts & prayers are with you and your families.... remember your Mom doing hairdressing in your house in L'Amable.... bought material for a quilt from her when she was on the Turriff Rd.... seeing the pictures posted brought back memoires ... where have the years gone

To Nancy and all of Gwen’s family: we are so sorry to hear of Gwen’s passing. Many memories of working with her at the hospital, watching her enjoyment of the music and dancing at the Manor and Riverstone. Such a nice lady. Our sincere condolences to all of you.
