Condolences

Condolence From: Valerie Gravelle
Condolence: I first met Carson when my common-law spouse Jim Miller, started to work for him at the sawmill. At first, he would ignore me and not acknowledge me but over time he accepted my female presence and even allowed to join in the conversation. He was an amazing man with an amazing work ethic and his knowledge of the area seemed to have no limits. The more I saw him, the more I realized the depth of his knowledge and the depth of his personality. Rest in peace Carson. You will be missed and my condolences to the Bamford family.

Condolence: I was 12 years old when I first met Carson when he came to the Island to repair our electric generator and I was immediately fascinated by his unique manner, his unusual and wide ranging knowledge and his sense of humour. Now at age 69 I look back and consider this man to be one of the most intelligent and loving people on this earth. I am greatful to have been able to grow up having Carson as a mentor and friend. His Legacy will live on in his amazing family.

Condolence: My father-in-law welcomed me into the Bamford family and from that day forward always treated me with respect and kindness. He never turned me down and was always there for me even when I lost my own father. He was there to talk to and gave his shoulder to cry on. I will miss our ice cream dates and sharing a smoke with him. Toot-a-loo SUNSHINE!!! Xo

Condolence: My condolences to the entire Bamford family for the loss of a precious family member. The day I met Carson I truly met a special man. I consider myself to have been one of the fortunate people that was able to enjoy his humor, enjoy his stories and admire his knowledge of so many things. If ever there was someone that treated me with kindness and respect it was Carson. I'll always think of him and smile. Fond memories indeed. May you rest in peace Carson. It was a pleasure knowing you. Xo

Condolence: Almost 30 years ago we hired Carson to construct a road. We got not only an expert road engineer, we were very fortunate to also make a good friend.
We’re going to miss hearing his machine going past and wondering if he was going to drop in for a chat. We’re going to miss the breadth of his knowledge and advice on how we should proceed with our own projects. We’re going to miss his stories of times past and observations of the present. Mostly, we’re really going to miss Carson.

Condolence: For those of us at Farquhar Lake Carson had a profound affect on all our lives. The determination and skill he demonstrated to construct a road for us has vastly improved our cottage experience and enabled us to enjoy our cottage time to the fullest. He always went out of his way to serve our needs and keep our road in tip top shape. Over the years he became a close friend of our family and we enjoyed the interesting conversations we had on many and varied aspects of life. Thank you Carson for all your efforts. We will miss you.
