Obituary for Viola Lorien Kelly

On Friday March 12, 2021 Viola Kelly died peacefully in her sleep at the Wesburn Manor in Etobicoke, which was her home for the last 7 years. Viola was born in Maynooth in 1923, the eldest child of George and Katie Twa. She grew up in Bancroft where she spent the majority of her life. She married Jim Kelly and raised their three children; Jane, Mike and Paul. She celebrated proudly, with her family, their marriages, births, accomplishments and life events. Viola was a very independent woman and had a strong faith. She provided an example to everyone of how to live a faith filled life devoted to community service and kindness. Viola will be remembered, with a smile, by her brother and his wife, Dale and Yvonne Twa, her children, her grandchildren (Nicole, Geoffrey, Willum, Jacob, James and Sean) and great grandchildren (Paige and Maeve) as well as her large extended family, community of friends and library patrons, whose lives she has touched. Viola will be forever remembered for her devotion to the work of St. John's Anglican Church and for her involvement with and membership in the Anglican Church Women.
Viola will be celebrated in a private service at St. John`s Anglican Church and interment beside her husband Jim, in the spring. If you wish to memorialize Viola`s life in some way, please complete an act of charity or kindness within your local community and say a prayer for her.
