Obituary for Ronald Herbert Hadley
RONALD HERBERT HADLEY
September 14, 1935 - March 13, 2023
Born and raised in Stirling and passed away peacefully at Hospice Quinte in his 88th year. Ron was the son of the late Alton and Mary (Orser) Hadley, predeceased by his beloved wife Patricia (Bruce) in March of 2022, father to Brian (& Louise) of Frankford and Karen (& Jerry) Shaw of Plainfield. Lovingly remembered by his three grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Ron is survived by his siblings: Marlene (& Frank) Bailey, Barb (& Dale) Geen and Wayne (& Marg) Hadley. Ron dedicated many years volunteering for the old Hastings Snow Mobile Club. He was a passionate sledder, hunter and motorcyclist. He loved camping and fishing all over Ontario. Ron worked in the family farm machinery business for many years prior to starting his own business, Belleville Sport & Lawn in 1976. He also worked to have the abandoned rail system converted to trails for recreational use. He loved coaching hockey in Stirling for many years. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Neuman Family Funeral Home in Bancroft. At Ron's request, there will be no funeral service and cremation has taken place.
