Robert Leroy Benness passed away peacefully, with his niece Dorothy by his side in the early morning hours of February 13, 2024 at Hastings Centennial Manor at the age of 92. Bob Benness, beloved husband of the late Marion and brother of the late Douglas. Bob was predeceased by his parents as well. He will be lovingly remembered by his niece, Dorothy (& Jason), his nephew, Ron (& Laura), by his great niece and nephew, Ashley and Robert, by nine great great nieces and nephews and by his cousin, Ken Fisher. Bob was employed as a chemist for over forty years and will be remembered as a man of many talents. He loved to do woodworking and was a great artist. He loved their dogs, especially the many springer spaniels and enjoyed walking with Marion daily, camping, sailing, traveling and skiing. Bob was blessed with a great sense of humour and avid interest in Scottish dance. He was the patriarch of the family and will be deeply missed by everyone. May he know rest peacefully in the presence of Marion and other family members.
