Obituary for Mark Hilton Addie

Mark Hilton Addie passed away recently at his home in Coe Hill at the age of 65 years. Born and raised in Toronto, he was the son of the late James and Marion Addie, younger brother to Bob and Ted, uncle to Michael, Brian, Eric, Colin, Spencer, Damian and had a very close relationship with his step-son Dauson Santos. Mark had many talents and was generous with them. He was a dreamer and had the courage to act on those dreams. Being a perfectionist, they didn’t always fully materialize but it was all about the journey. Mark loved, laughed, played the guitar and never stopped learning new things. He will be greatly missed and his template for life will continue to inspire.

Things that Mark will be remembered for:

Creative, technically skilled, wonderful with wood and design.
Perfectionist
Principled – loved to discuss issue; sometimes passionately
Teacher – professionally but also to share his knowledge and learning with anyone interested. He was a life-long learner
Musician – played guitar and sang. Supported himself travelling through Britain by playing pubs.
Generous with himself and everything he had. He believed in a sharing economy.
Physically gifted, athletic, strong
Dreamer.
A do-it-yourselfer.
