Kenneth John Ashton born May 24, 1934 passed away
peacefully at Hastings Centennial Manor on Monday,
September 4, 2023. He was the son of the late Arthur Ashton
and Rose Fontaine. Predeceased by his siblings Mary Garrett,
Mayferd Smith, Arthur Ashton and Gerald Lalonde.
Predeceased by Laura (Beach) his wife and partner of 43
years.

Ken is survived by his daughter Beth Fearon (Rick Milton), his
stepchildren Wayne Hetu (Heather), Barb McAlpine (Paul),
Kelly Nicholls and Allison Brownlee (David). Lovingly
remembered by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He will be missed by many nieces and nephews especially by
his nephew Bob Ashton of Belleville.

Ken worked from a young age till retirement in the road
construction industry. He loved fishing and playing cards. After
retiring Ken and Laura spent many years at Round Lake. Their
retirement years were full of great memories, many lasting
friendships and a fish story or two!
At Ken’s request there will be no funeral.
