Hildegard Wilhelmina Thaeter passed away at Belleville General Hospital on January 4, 2024 at the age of 87 following a lengthy illness. Hilde (Eisele) Thaeter, beloved wife of the late Kurt Thaeter (2002), loving mother of Ursula (& Bud) O'Connor of Elliott Lake, Peter (& Janet) Thaeter of Bancroft and Tom of Carlow, loving grandmother of Kristy, Shawn, Shannon and Ashley and great grandmother of Taylor, Rebecca, Connor, Madison, Kurt, Mackala and Brady. Hilde will be lovingly remembered by her siblings in Germany and by her nephew Herb (& Gail) Staudinger. Hilde worked as a registered butcher with Dominion Foods for a number of years. She and Kurt retired to Carlow in 1979 where she became very involved in the work of Carlow United Church and was a member of the U.C.W. In her spare time, Hilde loved to work in her gardens around her home.
