Obituary for Gerald (Bud) Keith O'Donnell

Bud O'Donnell passed away at Crown Ridge Place in Trenton on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at the age of 91 following a difficult few months. Bud O'Donnell, beloved husband of the late Marion (Barker) O'Donnell who passed away in June of last year, loving father of Judy (& the late Warren) Musclow of Bancroft, John (& Pauline) O'Donnell of Bancroft, Bonnie (& John) Foster of Belleville and Joan (& Mike) Bay of Brighton, cherished grandfather of Amy & Jeff Maika, Tracy & Ryan Coe, Wendi & Josh Crowe, Katie & Matt Brant, Emily & Keaton MacKinnon, Ashley Foster & Chris Kennedy, Kelly & Andre Palmateer and Lydia Bay & Mike Lanteigne, doting great grandfather of Grace, Reid, Jordyn, Kayden, Taylor, Odin, Lincoln, Madison, Austin, Addison, Kaisen and Evelyn. Bud was born in Kingston on June 6, 1931, the son of William Sparks O'Donnell and Sadie Myrtle (Sally) Sears who both predeceased him. His siblings, Bill O'Donnell and Joan Lutz also predecease him.Bud and Marion resided in Kingston at the time of their marriage but his employment with the Ministry of Transportation involved a move to North Bay for several years and later to Bancroft where they made their home and raised their family. Bud loved the hot weather and loved going to Florida. After retiring, he and Marion spent their winters there where they made lots of friends and great memories. They built their dream home on Howe Island in the1000 Islands where they remained until Marion's passing in June of last year. Bud had recently become a resident of Crown Ridge Place in Trenton with the hope of being moved to Bancroft. Bud will be elated to be once again reunited with Marion, whom he missed so much. They will forever enjoy sunsets more amazing than the ones they viewed so often from their little piece of Heaven on Howe Island and his pontoon boat is shiny and new with more bells and whistles on it than we can imagine! Happy fishing Bud!
