Evelyn Margarett Plunkett passed away at Quinte Healthcare North Hastings on May 22, 2023 following and very lengthy illness at the age of 81. Evelyn (Spence) Plunkett, beloved wife of Findlay, loving mother of Bill & Sandra, Bryan & Peggy , both of Bancroft, Christina & Allan Freymond of Maynooth and Cindy & Jason Hale of Courtice, cherished grandmother of eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Evelyn was predeceased by her granddaughter, Melissa. Dear sister of Kathy Brethour, Shirley (& Glen) Switzer, Diane (& Eugene) Roy, Jim (& Bev) Spence, Elda Tociewicz and Joe Spence and loving aunt to her many nieces and nephews and their families. Evelyn was born in Belleville, the daughter of the late John and Denelda (Robinson) Spence and has resided in Monteagle Township on the farm that she and Findlay operated for most of her married life. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Cat Scan Fund with Bancroft Hospital or to Graphite Bible Camp in Evelyn's memory. The Plunkett family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the Hospital Staff, to the VON and to all of the P.S.W.s and others who have cared for Evelyn at home for the wonderful kindness and compassion you have all shown to her during her illness.
