Obituary for Dr. Owen Arnold Dixon
Dr. Owen Dixon passed away suddenly on March 17. Beloved husband of 56 years to Rosemary (Langford) Dixon.Their darling daugher, Kathlyn (Dixon) Kirkwood, had already been taken from them too soon by cancer in 2019. Owen is survived by his wife and son-in-law (Sean) and his cherished grandchildren Liam and Cecily. He is also survived by his brother Keith of British Columbia, the last of the four brothers as Owen was predeceased by his other brothers, Ron and Barry, and his parents, Roy and Marjorie.
Owen was a paleontologist and professor at the University of Ottawa before retiring to the Weslemkoon Lake area, which he loved. He will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, his property and his canine companions. Being a very private person, the family has decided to forgo a service. Expressions of sympathy through donations to Home Again can be made and would be most appreciated. Slàinte mhath.
