DOREEN MERECE BROAD (nee Goodkey) passed away peacefully in Bancroft at the Hastings Centennial Manor on August 3, 2021, at the age of 93. Beloved wife of the late Clifford Broad, Doreen was predeceased by her parents Charles Goodkey and Elsie (Clarke) and loving brothers John, Leonard and Gordon Goodkey. She is the lovingly remembered ‘Auntie’ of Richard, Beth, Cate, Ellie, Paul, Brian, Lynn, Glenn and the late Michael, Susan and David. Doreen lived most of her life in the Bancroft and Weslemkoon Lake areas. She dearly loved her brothers, family and Bancroft. Her wicked sense of humour brought sparkle to everyone. The family wishes to thank and extend sincere appreciation to friends and the compassionate staff at the Manor and Riverstone. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Neuman Family Funeral Home. At Doreen’s request there will be no service. A private interment will take place at the Hillcrest Cemetery, Bancroft.
