Obituary for Donald Douglas Creighton
Donald Douglas Creighton has "Gone Fishing”. This time he said he’s not coming back. He passed over to “God’s country”, the great Opeongo Lake in the sky where the lake trout jump right into your boat on Friday, May 22, 2020 at Hastings Manor in Bancroft, ON at the age of 93.
Father of Cheryll Harrison (Creighton), Cameron Creighton, Craig Creighton and his wife Sandy, Donna Creighton and Laureen Creighton. Grandfather of Laura Schram, Jacob, Russell and Elaine Harrison, Amie Creighton and Kaley Spencer (Creighton), Sarah Day (Creighton) and Lisa Creighton, Craig Cole and Julia Collins. Great-grandfather of Natalie, Cole, Elora, Sofia, Zara, Amelia, Cambria and Melody. He is remembered by his many nieces and nephews, and his two sisters, Shirley Hogarth (Creighton) and Jean Fitzgerald (Creighton). He is predeceased by his sister Joyce Snider (Creighton).
He will be remembered as an expert naturalist, hunter, fisherman and wood worker.
At Don’s request, no funeral service will be held. In lieu of flowers please consider making a trip to respect the nature he loved so much and learn about Algonquin Provincial Park.
