DEAN FRASER PATERSON passed away peacefully in Peterborough on September 18, 2021 at the age of 84. Dean Paterson was the beloved husband and best friend of Beverley (Townsend), loving father of Robert, Debra (Sandford) and Sandra (Craig), cherished grandfather of Matthew, Kaitlyn (Daniel), Sierra (Luke), Sydney, Nicholas and Jack and great grandfather of Penelope and Willow. Dean will be dearly missed by his sister in law Barbara Olive (Robert) and is survived by his brothers Gordon and Eric. Dean was born and raised in Toronto but relocated his family to Bancroft in 1978 when he secured a position with the Town of Bancroft as the Clerk Treasurer, where he remained for over 25 years. Dean will be remembered for his love of golf, his avid interest in many sports, keeping his home and its surroundings in meticulous condition and for his unending devotion to his family. His family meant everything to him, and his passing will leave a void in their lives for a long time to come. In keeping with Dean's request, no funeral service will take place. His cremains will be privately laid to rest at a later date. The family would like to thank the medical staff at the PRHC.
