Claude Shields, passed away peacefully at Quinte Healthcare North Hastings on March 30, 2022 with his daughter Cindy and granddaughter Meaghan by his side. Claude Shields, loving father of Darcy of Oshawa and Cindy (& John) Scott of Bancroft, cherished grandfather of Meaghan of Whitby and brother in law of Freda Shields. Claude was predeceased by his only brother, McGillivary and by his parents, Adam and Catherine (Baragar) Shields. He will be fondly remembered by his extended family and by his many friends. Claude was a very proud 40 year employee of General Motors and a devout member and advocate of Alcoholics Anonymous for over 48 years. He will be remembered for his love for his family, music and entertaining. The family wish to extend their heartfelt thanks to Paramed, particularly Debbie, Nicole and Katherine, to Care Partners and to all of the caring and compassionate staff at Quinte Healthcare North Hastings for their outstanding care shown to Claude.
