It is with profound sadness that the family of Bernie Worth announce his death on Friday, September 9, 2022 at Kingston General Hospital at the age of 84. Bernie Worth, beloved husband and best friend of Shirley (Money) Worth for 64 years, loving father of Elizabeth (& Jim) Ferrier of Bancroft, Vicki (& John) Parlette of Bancroft and Mark (& Dawn) Worth of Thorold. Bernie will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren: Joe, Shauna, Dan, Melanie, Paula, Bernie, Nina, Amy and their families and by his siblings: Irene, Charlie, Marie, Jack, Isabelle, Patricia, Donnie, Hazel, Rita and Doreen and their spouses and families. Bernie was predeceased by: Joe, Bill, Leo, Les, Angus and Hilda and by his parents, Annie Jones and Roland Worth. Bernie was born in Guysborough, Nova Scotia, moved to Ontario and worked as an industrial millright with John Manville Company for 22 years. He and Shirley moved to Bancroft in 1981 and resided in Pickering prior. Following a move to Madoc for several years, they once again returned to Bancroft and, of late, have resided happily at Riverstone Residence. A man of many interests, he will be remembered for his incredible sense of humour and his constant desire to joke and make others laugh and his love of country music, dancing, playing cards, hunting and fishing. Bernie has left a treasure trove of wonderful memories for all who had the honour of knowing him....may he now Rest in Peace.
