Ada Jean Tinney (Baumhour) passed away peacefully at Quinte Healthcare North Hastings on July 25, 2022 at the age of 82 following a brief illness. Ada Tinney, beloved wife & best friend of Carl, loving mother of Noreen (& Dave) of Bancroft, Scott (& Lori) of Bancroft and Robin (& Mary-Ann) of Toronto, loving grandmother of Carter and Alana and beloved sister of Doug (& Jean) of Belleville, Pat (& Lloyd) Strong of Lively, Lin Smith of St. Catharines and the late Phyllis, Garth, Norm, Ron and Bert. Ada will be lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews and by her many friends. Ada was born in Bancroft on December 14, 1939, and has resided here all of her life. Her parents, Sam and Ina Baumhour, predecease her. She was employed with the Board of Education for a number of years in the secretarial department of Bancroft Public School. For the past four years Ada was the Elder and Planner for the North Hastings Children's Services (Algonquin Inodewiziwin) which she was very passionate about. As well, Ada will be remembered for her skills as a stained glass artist. May she now soar with the eagles and be at peace.
